Most pictures on Rumble Decor are AI illustrations, but some come from people who shared them online, and those owners decide how their work is used. Here is the quick way to change a credit or remove a picture, followed by the formal procedure.
Credited pictures
A picture taken from social media carries a 📷 line with the owner's handle and a link to the original post. Ownership stays with the person who made it, and any use here is meant as commentary and reference under fair use (17 U.S.C. § 107).
No paperwork needed
- Add a missing credit or correct one
- Send the credit link to your own site instead
- Take the picture down
Email [email protected] with the page and what you want changed. A short note is enough; no lawyer or formal notice is needed. Removal requests come first, and every message gets a prompt reply.
Rumble Decor does not claim ownership of photos shared by other people. Short quotes and excerpts from other sources are used under the fair use doctrine, 17 U.S.C. § 107.
Formal DMCA takedown notice
Rumble Decor follows the notice and takedown process of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512. A written notice sent to [email protected] needs all 6 of these elements to be valid:
- The physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act for them.
- The copyrighted work you believe was infringed, or a representative list if the notice covers several works.
- The material you believe infringes it, with enough detail to locate it on Rumble Decor, such as the page URL.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.
Valid notices are reviewed promptly, and the material may be removed or access to it disabled.
Counter notification
If material was taken down by mistake or misidentification, the person who posted it may send a counter notification to [email protected] with these 4 elements:
- A physical or electronic signature.
- The material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
After a valid counter notification, the material may be restored in 10 to 14 business days unless the person who sent the original notice reports that a court action has been filed.
Repeat infringement and false claims
Where appropriate, Rumble Decor removes access for anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
